Sales Consultant – Texas & Nationwide
Position Title: Sales Associate / Sales, Energy Industry Experience Preferred
Location: Nationwide (remote based, location flexible)
Position Summary:
Sales Associate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process; including identifying potential prospects, creating effective presentations, obtaining needed usage information to generate proposals, preparing proposals, negotiating and closing of deals within an acceptable time frame, obtaining authorization on contracts, exhibits, and other required documentation, and acting as a liaison between operations and the customer as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achievement of new contract bookings
- Develop sales strategies directed toward maximizing individual goals and company objectives
- Achieve sales goals by selling competitive electric rates & setting up “No Cost” energy audits to prospective clients
- Generate new business through organized prospecting and networking to increase market penetration
- Provide all information necessary to customer agreements and to ensure completion of all necessary customer agreements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of sales/customer management experience that includes sales and marketing
- Ability to articulate the benefits of all products and services offered by Evolving Energy Systems after initial training
- Must be able to apply market and account skills necessary for dealing with specific target audiences, including the delivery of energy solutions and commodities, as applicable
- Must have a successful proven track record of selling and closing contracts.
- Able to conduct a consultative sell by uncovering and identifying energy needs, billing and operational issues with clients
- Good interpersonal skills, including establishing rapport with clients through regular contact by phone and in person
- Strong desire to succeed and ‘hunter” mentality
- Detail oriented with strong follow through skills
- Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Word, Excel,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking in both one on one and formal presentation settings
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to ensure issues are identified early and feasible solutions are developed on a timely basis
- Problem solver offering practical thinking and approaches when applicable, providing sound analysis and judgment when making decisions and/or recommendations
- Must be self-directed and able to learn business and new products quickly
- Wants to make $60,000 to $100,000 in annual income with unlimited upside
- Aptitude to work independently and to adapt to changing industry demands and internal and external factors
